Racing: Mixed emotions over win

Auckland owner Trish Dunell was thrilled to win a race at Rangiora yesterday but unhappy that the horse was called All Shook Up.

"I just wish she didn't have that name considering all that has happened in Christchurch," Dunell said.

The filly, who won a heat of the Sires' Stakes for 2yr-old trotters, had the name when trainer Gavin Smith bought her for $5500 at the Premier Yearling Sale in Christchurch 12 months ago for Dunell and her son, Cameron Mackie.

The filly is by Sundon from Shimmie Shook Shook. Dunell has yet to see the filly.

Dunell and Mackie are also the owners of Desire Mhe, the 2yr-old filly, who won a heat of the Young Guns series at Alexandra Park in January from the Pukekohe stable of Todd MacFarlane and Craig Sharpe. Desire Mhe was a $7500 purchase at the Australasian Classic yearling sale.
