Mia Mocca left 14 foals, one of whom died. She left six winners, including Call Me Al and Call Me Again, who were useful performers in Australia after being sold through the yearling sales. Holmes Town Girl, a daughter of Holmes Hanover and Mia Mocca is in the Creighton broodmare band.
She is the dam of Holme Grown (seven wins).
The Creightons, who operate Glenbrook Stud. also bred from Pocket A Dream, a granddaughter of Mia Mocca. Pocket A Dream died of peritonitis after leaving four foals.
Pocket A Dream (by In The Pocket) was out of Glamour Dream, who did good service as a broodmare for the Creightons, leaving eight winners including Beefy T (Golden Nugget Stakes in Perth and the Chariots Of Fire in Sydney).
Glamour Dream, a daughter of Lumber Dream and Mia Mocca, was unraced due to injury. She was retired from breeding in 2005 and was a paddock mate for Mia Mocca.
Mia Mocca was the first breeding venture for the Creightons in 1982. Phil bought the daughter of Local Light and Petulus from Jack Ormandy, of Oamaru.
She had won five races, the first when trained by Ormandy and the others from the Robert Dunn stable. She was a sister to Golden Oriole and half-sister to Hakim. Golden Oriole won the 1964 Great Northern Derby and New Zealand Sapling Stakes.
Hakim won 10 races.
