Loch Nagar has made good progress since joining the Woodend Beach stable of David and Catherine Butt.
"They are very pleased with him. He has been there since the beginning of March," Bill Keeler, his Makarewa owner, said.
Loch Nagar, who was unplaced in a trial at Ashburton on Monday, won six of his 13 starts when trained by Murray Brown at Invercargill.
The Mach Three gelding has won four from eight this season. He won the Wairio Cup at Winton in December.
"He has general unsoundness and I was attracted by the swimming pool at the Butt stable and the chance to work on the beach," Keeler said.
He has sold Greysteel to Australia.
The Island Fantasy-Gracie Dale 4yr-old gelding has won three races this year from the Invercargill stable of Mark Shirley.
• Anotherchristian (seven wins) has joined the Pukekohe stable of Brent Mangos.
The 7yr-old has had his last three wins when trained by Kevin Smith at Manukau.
One For His Nob, winner of two races when trained by Jim Curtin, is now with Phil Burrows at West Melton.
• The Forbury Park Trotting Club was delighted with the outcome of the race meeting transferred to Addington last Thursday night.
The transfer was made due to a problem with the Forbury Park track.
"The betting turnover and racing at Addington were excellent and staff there were most helpful in running the meeting," Alan Clyma, the president of the Forbury Park club, said.
The Forbury Park club paid Addington raceway a rental for the use of the track.
"The rental was agreed but I cannot give the exact figure as it was dependent on turnover and penal rates," Clyma said.
The off-course turnover was $1,230,968 and on-course, $48,432 on 12 races.
These figures compared with $950,185 and $48,311 on 10 races at the meeting at Forbury Park last year.
