Lizzie Maguire is resuming at Cambridge tonight after a setback with a curbed hock.
"She seems OK but there is not a great deal more racing for her. She is going to stud in the spring," Gareth Dixon, her Clevedon trainer, said.
"She could go to Melbourne for the Breeders' Crown but she would have to go well at Cambridge."
Lizzie Maguire (race 4) has not raced for six weeks since finishing fourth at Alexandra Park.
She won there in March.
Lizzie Maguire has won 11 races including the 2yr-old section of the Harness Jewels at Ashburton and the Great Northern Oaks and been nine times placed in 27 starts.
Vee, placed in two starts when trained by part-owner Mark Jones at Burnham, is having his first start for Dixon in race 10 tonight.
"He [Vee] is on his way to Perth," Dixon said.
The 3yr-old ran third to Barrack and Red River Road at Invercargill on May 2 at his last start.
Dixon has Cyclone Night in the 4yr-old pacing mare section of the HJ at Ashburton on Saturday.
He considers Kiwi Ingenuity could prove too classy for her rivals despite a second-line draw.
Safin, winner of the 3yr-old pacing filly section of the Harness Jewels last year, has joined the Bulli stable of part-owner Greg Bennett.
Safin has been trained at Pukekohe by John Green and Brian Hughes.
They have 2yr-old Courage To Rule in the HJ.
A winner at Cambridge and Alexandra Park, Courage To Rule finished second to Smiling Shard in the Sires' Stakes Final at Addington on May 15.
Stable reinsman Matthew White, who partnered Safin, has the drive.
"He just keeps getting better with each run," White said.
