Waite started six dogs. He won the first four races with Asher, Bulet Tooth Tony, Ode To Liberty and Saucy Tomato. The quartet were shedding maiden status.
Waite also won race 12 with Barry's Way. The five dogs are by Big Daddy Cool from Fun And Profit. They were born in March last year.
Waite shares the ownership of the dogs with his wife, Angela.
He achieved another notable feat at the Wanganui meeting on November 11 when he produced Barry's Way, Ode To Liberty and Asher to finish first, second and third in a race.
• The 10yr-old Here Comes Dreamy regained winning form at Rangiora yesterday, a fortnight after joining the Broadfield stable of Jamie Keast.
Here Comes Dreamy had her other win in a minor race at Addington 17 months ago when trained by her Washdyke part-owner, David Johnston.
"David said he was finished with her after her previous start and I offered to take her over," Keast said.
Here Comes Dreamy did not begin racing until she was an 8yr-old.
• Wade Castle, a Kaiapoi owner-trainer, had his first win for four seasons when Huchi Fella was successful yesterday. Huchi Fella, a 3yr-old who had been placed in two of his other three starts, is by Falcon Seelster out of Huchi Mama, a Fake Left mare who won seven races in Australia.
The broodmare Zola's Chiola was represented by the winners, Theycallmesam and Zola's Bud yesterday.
Theycallmesam, a 5yr-old by Grant Our Wishes, is trained at Oxford by Philippa Wakelin and Stephen Noble, who share the ownership with family members.
Zola's Bud (by Sundon) is trained by Greg Payne who also won yesterday with Bowen Delight.
