Kristina will only need to reproduce her best form to win a heat of the Golden Girl series at Forbury Park tonight.

Kristina has displayed superior race speed to her rivals with a win over a mile in 1.55.2 at Ashburton in December.

The Cran Dalgety-trained mare has also won over 2400m (mobile) in 2.57.3 at Ashburton. Kristina will have the services of leading reinsman Dexter Dunn.

Adam Sanderson will drive Wot The Owl for Invercargill trainer Andrew Armour in the claiming race tonight.

"Adam is chasing the Southland drivers' premiership and I am only too happy to help him out with a drive," Armour said.

Sanderson, a junior driver, has had a sensational season with 39 wins. He is two wins ahead of Nathan Williamson among the Southland reinsmen. Jonny Cox is in third place, with 36.

Wot The Owl has had a win and a third in claiming races at Forbury Park since he joined Armour last month.

" He [Wot The Owl] has trained on.

"He was a bit sore behind when I got him and my girlfriend [Shannon Liley] has been riding him at the beach. I would expect him to be right in the finish again," Armour said.

Precious Mach has returned a positive test after her win at Alexandra Park on April 27, the Racing Integrity Unit has advised. Precious Mach, trained at Cambridge by Nicky Chilcott, has been placed in her two subsequent starts.

Didjamakem Bolt, Best Deal Yet and O Baby, members of the Mark Purdon and Grant Payne stable, are headed for Queensland.

O Baby, winner of the 3yr-old filly division of the Harness Jewels on Saturday and the NZ Sires' Stakes Final at Addington last month, has the Queensland Oaks on July 7 as her assignment.

Didjamakem Bolt and Best Deal Yet, owned in Melbourne by Merv and Meg Butterworth, are listed for the Queensland Derby on July 21. Didjamakem Bolt has made a big impression with two wins and a second in three starts, all at Addington.

He rated 1.57.8 for 1950m (mobile) at his most recent start when he won by seven lengths. He travelled to Pukekohe from Rolleston last Friday and is scheduled to race there tomorrow week.

Best Deal Yet ran fourth to stablemate Smolda in a NZ record 1.52.1 mile at Cambridge on Saturday. Smolda will now be spelled for two months, thus missing the Breeders' Crown. The stable has Cyclone U Bolt (bought late last week by the Butterworths and trained for his HJ win by Todd MacFarlane and Craig Sharpe), Fly Like An Eagle and Border Control as candidates for the BC.
