Jay Bees Grin, trained at Hororata by part-owner David Moore, won his only start as a 2yr-old at Washdyke in May.
He won his workout at Rangiora by three lengths in 2.32.5 for 2000m (mobile), the last 800m in 57. Dexter Dunn has retained the drive on Jay Bees Grin in race 1.
Mister Presley who won his three starts at Addington last season and four from six overall, is resuming in race 2 tonight. The David and Catherine Butt-trained 4yr-old won a trial at Rangiora on October 10.
Aylesham, who is resuming in race 5, won a workout at Methven on Sunday for his new trainer Carl Middleton.
Aylesham won three races when trained at Smaills Beach by part-owner Ray Hanson.
"We sent him to Carl because he was struggling from handicap marks on the small tracks. He only had a month off work after he raced in July," Hanson said.
Trainer Cran Dalgety has decided against starting Raging Bull in the Sires' Stakes heat tomorrow.
"It is just too soon for him with only one workout under his belt," Dalgety said.
Raging Bull has a sales series race in Auckland in December as his mission.
Dalgety has a strong hand in the Sires' Stakes heat with Bettors Creek, Orl Black and Rockin Roll Lad.
• Wayne Higgs has been suspended for 16 weeks for driving in a manner capable of diminishing the chance of his horse and also that he drove dangerously after completion of the race at Gore on August 28.
The suspension expires on midnight on February 13.
He was suspended for three months for engaging in a speed duel with Pandora's Maya when driving Motu Miss Lilli. He was suspended for a month for taking a sharp turn in front of Pandora's Maya 100m after the race.
Jeremy Douglas, the driver of Pandora's Maya, was suspended for 10 weeks.
The penalties were imposed after a hearing before the Judicial Control Authority representatives J. M. Phelan and Nigel Skelt stemming from charges laid by stipendiary steward Chris Allison.
No order was made for costs as the matters were adjourned for a non-raceday hearing by the JCA.
