Robbie Holmes, the Leithfield Beach horseman, collected a $4500 bonus on the Central Otago circuit for the second successive year after training three winners at Cromwell yesterday.

He won with The Tin Man, Nimrod and Scot's Courage.

He won with Opting Options at Omakau on Sunday and Rojam Cullen at Roxburgh on Tuesday.

The bonus applied to the three meetings.

Holmes won with Determined Lass, Secret Guest and First Art at Cromwell last year.

The previous year he had won at Cromwell with Kiwi Ingenuity.

Scot's Courage capped a good week for owners Hamish Scott and Kim Lawson.

They won with Bella Arden at Rangiora on Monday and they also race Rojam Cullen.

They sold Rojam Cullen for $48,000 to Ram Reddy, of Auckland, as a yearling and came back into the ownership after the horse had not measured up with other trainers. Rojam Cullen was gelded after transferring to the Holmes stable.

Beaudiene Christian made it a memorable first visit to Cromwell for Weedons horseman Nigel McGrath when the 4yr-old won the $14,999 Cromwell Cup.

Beaudiene Christian, owned by Paul and Pauline Renwick, of Christchurch, had not raced since September after a leg injury.

Beaudiene Christian returned to his Invercargill base last night to race at the Northern Southland meeting next Thursday.

McGrath also has Ready Set, Anvils Best Ever, Anvil On Fire, Limited Edition and Sonofanearl based at Invercargill.
