Changeover won easily by half a length from Smoken Up in 1.53.4 for the mile after taking the lead near the 900m. His previous best mile time was 1.55.2 at Cambridge in May last year.

The 5yr-old In The Pocket-Chaangerr entire capped a great season after success in the New Zealand Cup in November.

His other group one wins are the New Zealand and Great Northern Derbies, NZ Sires' Stakes final for 3yr-olds, and Noel Taylor Mile.

• Captain Joy completed a derby treble when he won the New South Wales Derby yesterday in a 1.58.2 mile rate for the 2300m (mobile).

Captain Joy (by Mach Three) has won the Victoria and Queensland Derbies.

Top reinsman Gavin Lang rates Captain Joy the best 3yr-old he has driven.

• Heyzeal, a contender for the Harness Jewels, has joined the stable of Mark Purdon and Grant Payne.

Heyzeal won four races this season when trained by Billy Heads.

The 4yr-old mare was transferred to Phil Williamson when she changed ownership last month.
