Mark Purdon has been engaged to drive One Over Kenny at Alexandra Park on Friday night, with her Papakura trainer, Tony Herlihy, on leave.
Herlihy is out of the New Zealand for the next fortnight. He departs today for Canada to attend the marriage of his son.
He said One Over Kenny had exceeded his expectations with her fresh-up win from a 65m handicap over 2700m at Alexandra Park on September 10.
She is off 30m over the same distance on Friday night.
"She needs racing and all going well she will go to Addington after her race on Friday. There is a race [Canterbury Park Trotting Cup] on October 15," Herlihy said.
Other races are available in Canterbury as a lead up to the New Zealand Cup meeting in November.
One Over Kenny won the 2009 New Zealand Trotting Championship at Addington under free-for-all conditions. She has gained 14 of her 32 wins at Alexandra Park.
Herlihy has driven One Over Kenny in 30 of her 33 starts since she was transferred to his stable from Phil Williamson in 2008.
Purdon has often called on Herlihy to drive members of his stable. Herlihy drove the Purdon-trained Pride Of Petite to win her second Interdominion final in 1997 when she overcame a 40m handicap in Adelaide. He also drove Sharp And Telford to win the 1996 Auckland Cup for the Purdon stable.
• Geoff Small, the Patumahoe trainer, has been found guilty on two charges related to his horse Zenad returning a positive test to the prohibited substance, aminocaproic acid, at Moonee Valley on February 7, 2009, Harness Racing New Zealand said.
Zenad returned a positive test after his win.
The question of penalty has yet to be addressed.
The Harness Racing Victoria Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board chairman, Brian Collis QC, released the decision.
Small was charged under the rules which require a horse to be presented for a race free of a prohibited substance.
