Harry Trimbole, a smart staying 3yr-old last season, left for Melbourne on Saturday after being sold out of the Abbotsford stable of Noel Graham.
Harry Trimbole has been bought by clients of the stable of Michael Kent.
The son of Danske and Greta's Way cleared maiden ranks at Winton in November and he won his last four races, the most recent over 2000m at Riccarton in May, when he carried 59kg. He has raced 15 times and amassed $47,525 in stakes.
He was owned by Graham, his son Craig, Craig's wife, Tania and Nelson Didham. They bred Harry Trimbole. The gelding has been back in work seven weeks.
The same owners have Richard Trimbole, Mr Trimbole, brothers of Harry Trimbole and both winners last season. Richard Trimbole and Mr Trimbole are back in work. A 2yr-old filly by Saperavi from Greta's Way is also being educated.
• Shankar Muniandy, the Wingatui apprentice, travelled to Sydney yesterday to take up a scholarship awarded by NZ Thoroughbred Racing. Muniandy will be on loan to the Newcastle stable of Paul Perry for the next fortnight to gain riding experience.
"I would expect he would be riding in the area later in the week," Brian Anderton, his mentor, said.
