Racing: Grass to suit

Dundee Three is proven on the grass and in form for race 8 at the Oamaru Harness Racing Club meeting today.

The 4yr-old, trained by Phil Burrows, finished second to Joshua Mac at Addington eight days ago.

He has won twice on the grass at Methven.

Gavin Smith, who has driven Dundee Three in 13 of his 14 starts for five wins, is committed to Our Southern Man.

Bettor Cover Lover, the leading 2yr-old pacing filly last season, resumes racing in a heat of the Sires' Stakes Fillies Championship at Cambridge on Saturday night.

The Brent Mangos and Hayden Cullen-trained Bettor Cover Lover has not raced since she won the Harness Jewels in 1.56.9 at Cambridge in May.

She won the Sires' Stakes final for fillies and the NZ Yearling Sales race.

Mr Feelgood continued his preparation for the Miracle Mile by winning a 1660m (mobile) trial in a 1.53.9 mile rate at Albion Park on Monday.

He has not raced since October 30 when he won the Queensland Pacing Championship (2680m) in a 1.55.9 rate.

He has won eight of his 10 starts since transferring from Tim Butt to Queensland trainer Luke McCarthy.

He set a track record at Albion Park in June when he rated 1.52.1 for 1660m.

Del Sur is back with Wyndham trainer Brendon McLellan.

Del Sur has a price tag of $7500 in a claiming race at Invercargill on Saturday.

Armbro Winger, now trained by Bryan Lilley, is in the same race priced at $5000.

Del Sur was claimed by Burnham horseman Regan Todd in August and subsequently won at Gore.

Armbro Winger has been unplaced in three starts since being claimed out of the Graeme Anderson-Amber Hoffman stable in June.
