Pinzee ( race 3) was a last-start winner over 1600m at New Plymouth.
Grabbit ran third in a maiden hurdle at Ellerslie on Monday, his best effort in three starts as a jumper.
"If he is good enough, he will go back for the Wellington Hurdles next month," Autridge said.
Grabbit has had four wins on the flat.
Matthew Cropp was suspended for three weeks after admitting a charge of careless riding at Avondale yesterday.
Cropp allowed his mount, Final Hit, to shift outwards near the 450m in race four when not sufficiently clear of All Pent Up which clipped a heel and fell, bringing down Nice and Natural.
Cropp is suspended from today until July 2 inclusive.
