The feature meeting of the Otago Racing Club's season was abandoned on Saturday due to concerns about the track after one race.
The meeting at Wingatui, which includes the group 3 White Robe Lodge Handicap and the listed Dunedin Guineas and Dunedin Gold Cup, was put in immediate doubt after Tedesco slipped badly at the top of the straight in the opening race.
Racing Integrity Unit stewards and jockeys inspected the track and found several areas of concern between the 700m mark and the 300m mark.
Judicial Control Authority chairman Geoff Hall said it was an unanimous decision to abandon the meeting.
Club officials are working with the TAB and New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing to find an alternative date for the meeting next week.
