Well, Sam Wynne is collecting winning posts like they are going out of fashion and the carpenters cannot keep up.
The Dublin native has been in New Zealand for two years, but has really broken through to record 38 wins in this season to all but secure the South Island apprentice jockey title with less than two months to go.
Wynne has eight rides at the Waimate Racing Club's meeting at the Oamaru racecourse tomorrow as she looks to add more wins to her New Zealand tally.
The 25-year-old came to New Zealand in search of more riding opportunities after being the ''stable girl'' at home in Ireland.
''I had 20 rides over the space of two years but I was mainly just a stable girl,'' Wynne said.
''I came here for the opportunities - they're a bit tight back home. And I see that girls get on well here too [as jockeys]. It's great to see.''
Wynne's victories have come all over the South Island, although it is a safe bet she is the only jockey at tomorrow's meeting to have won her first race in Slovakia.
She travelled to the capital Bratislava for a European apprentices series in 2010 and duly saluted on an Irish-bred galloper named Chiaraluna.
Add her 14 wins in her first New Zealand season to this year's tally, and Wynne is already up to 52 wins as an apprentice in New Zealand. She puts her larger tally down to a couple of factors.
''I just put my head down and worked harder and I got into [be based at] Riccarton so that helped me keep busy.''
''The whole season has been pretty consistent so I hope to keep that up until the end of the season.''
Wynne has several each-way chances tomorrow and she rates South Island newcomer El Guapo [race 9] as her brightest hope.
''He's having his first start from the North Island for the [Michael and Tarsha] Stokes team and I'm hoping that he's sharp and knows what he's doing, so hopefully he goes close,'' Wynne said.
Wynne continues her association with Bobby Al in the 2yr-old 1230m after pairing up with the Daniel Champion and Kezia Murphy-trained gelding for placings at the trials.
''He's pretty smart and I'm hoping that he'll be there or thereabouts. [The trainers] do a good job with presenting the 2yr-olds.
Wynne is looking for a loose track with Flirtation in race 1, while Plaza (race 2) will be better with more time.
Coire (race 4) is fresh-up, although Wynne partnered the Brian Court-trained galloper at the Ashburton trials on May 27.
''Brian wanted me to ride him back to see if he would settle and he did and he found the line good. I'm just not sure what we're going to have to do from the wide draw.''
Of Wynne's other rides, Wynne is confident of the Kathryn Thomson-trained El Dorado Sun repeating his effort at Oamaru on May 23.
The 5yr-old raced out of his grade in a rating 75 1400m and won, and lines up in a rating 75 1230m tomorrow - albeit with an extra 1.5kg in the lead bag.
''Kathryn reckons he's never been better, so hopefully he'll do the same again.''
