Trainer-driver Michael House is hoping the draw will give him the edge with Royal Cee Cee in the final of the Southland Oaks tomorrow.

Royal Cee Cee has earned favouritism with wins in a Southland Oaks heat in 1.55.6 for the mile and a heat of the Sires' Stakes series at Forbury Park . She finished a close second to Aziza in a heat of the Sires' Stakes at Addington last Friday.

"She has got the draw and with some of the good ones absent it has opened it for someone and hopefully it is us," House said.

Dexter Dunn has the drive on Chicago Blues, a heat winner at Winton. Clark Barron, who drove her that day, is staying with Sounds Alive, who he drove to win at Gore on Sunday for his trainer brother Ken.

Trainers Mark Purdon and Grant Payne, who have won the Southern Supremacy Stakes final the past two years, have Kotare Mach, a prominent candidate tomorrow.

Kotare Mach won a mile heat in 1.55.3. The stable won the 2700m (mobile) final with Highview Tommy last year and Auckland Reactor in 2008. Kotare Mach won over the distance at Alexandra Park in December.

Captain Peacock, winner of the New Zealand Derby, was all out to win a Supremacy Stakes heat at Winton at his next start. Motu Crusader, a fast-finishing second that day, is again among his rivals.

A 30m handicap should not deter Beaudiene Bad Babe in the Country Cups Final. She eclipsed her rivals in the Autumn Cup over the distance, 2700m at Ascot Park at her last start after starting from 10m.

The West Melton-trained Joshua Mac is heading to Invercargill for a $12,500 race , bypassing an $8000 race at Addington tonight.

He won by three lengths at Addington last Friday after blotting his copybook at Ascot Park at his previous start.
