The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club was delighted with the staging of the Interdominion series in Auckland.
"Overall, we were very happy with the result," Shane Gloury, the chief executive officer of the NZMTC, said.
The off-course turnover on the finals' night last Friday was $1.6 million.
"We had budgeted for a final night turnover of $1.5 million in Christchurch before the earthquake, with a much stronger support card, so we were really pleased with the result."
On-course turnover was $500,000, which compared favourably with the $350,000 on Auckland Trotting Cup night on March 11.
He estimated there was an attendance of 6500 on Friday night.
"There was no charge for admission in line with the policy for meetings at Alexandra Park, so we do not know the exact figure."
He said $110,000 had been raised for the Christchurch earthquake appeal through a range of initiatives.
Harness Racing Australia had donated the equivalent of 5% of stake money earned by Australian horses on the final night; an online auction of colours had raised $25,000; the Racing Board had contributed and a gold-coin collection was made at the entrance.
