Readers will notice a change to the layout of the form provided by the New Zealand Racing Board in today's Otago Daily Times.
This new layout is replicated in The New Zealand Herald, the Dominion Post and The Press and will continue in all future NZRB-supplied form in all four papers.
The ODT runs NZRB-supplied form guides on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays and special publication days such as Melbourne Cup day, New Zealand Cup day and many public holidays.
The New Zealand Racing Board told the ODT the aim was to make the form more visually appealing, to provide coverage comment and selections for more races, and to get more information in for Australian thoroughbred meetings.
Regular form readers will notice the absence of track and distance starts, along with a horse's form on different types of surfaces, and reduced form analysis and review comments on a horse's previous runs.
Feedback about the new form is best directed to the TAB helpdesk on 0800 102 106 or helpdesk@tab.co.nz.
The NZRB said extended form was available at www.tab.co.nz or in specific racing publications.
