Bosson is expected to be away from race riding for between four and six weeks. He was riding work on the Wanganui property of Kevin Myers when the fall occurred.

Stuart Manning (65), the Tauranga trainer and part-owner of Katy Keen with his partner Kaye Durrant, owned and trained Syndrome to win the 1974 Rotorua Cup when the race was run in November.
Syndrome was ridden by Nigel Landers, who trained Avitt to win the race eight years later. He trained in partnership with Jim Melton. Syndrome, an Aureate gelding, won 12 races.

Hayden Tinsley is back aboard Jurys Out in the Canterbury Cup. David Walker, who rode Jurys Out to win the Easter Cup (1600m) at Riccarton on April 19, has the mount on Balmuse.
This was the winning combination in the Canterbury Cup two years ago. Balmuse ran second to Delbrae last year.
Tinsley had ridden Jurys Out in four previous starts for a win at Awapuni in November.
Jamie Bullard is engaged for Le Alto in the Canterbury Cup. Le Alto won the Hororata Cup at Riccarton at his last start with David Walsh the rider.
Joanne Rathbone, who won the open steeplechase on Just The Man at Te Rapa yesterday, has the mount on Fontera in the Great Western Steeplechase at Riverton today.
Rathbone won the 2006 Western on No Hero. Fontera won a maiden steeplechase at Trentham last June with Isaac Lupton the rider.
He is trained by Kevin Myers, who has Mosman and Gull top chances in the other jumping races today.

The riding fee in jumps races increased from $148 to $163 yesterday, the start of the jumping season.
A new payment, to be introduced from August 1, is a minimum riding allowance. Senior flat race jockeys will receive an additional $45 if they have two or less rides on a programme.
Jumps jockeys will receive the same payment if they have one ride, where there is at least four jumping races on the programme.
Riding fees in trials increase from $35 to $40 for senior jockeys and from $23 to $26 for apprentices.
