It was her fifth win and second in as many starts since transferring from the Mark Purdon and Grant Payne stable to Phil Burrows in September.
The 6yr-old mare won fresh up at Addington in October.
"She has had as few niggles and that is why she hasn't raced for a couple of months," David Barley, a spokesman for the owners, said.
"She was served by Bettor's Delight at the start of December and might have one more race."
• The 3yr-old Sam Douglas, who won at Ashburton on Boxing Day, gave a repeat performance yesterday.
He is raced by his Inch Clutha breeders Ken and Leola Milne, who have had a long association with the family.
Sam Douglas is out Young Ros, a Falcon Seelster mare who qualified but did not race.
She was troubled by arthritis.
Young Ros is a daughter of Young Eden, winner of the 1987 New Zealand Oaks for Ken Milne and Russell Hollows when trained and driven by Alex Milne.
Young Ros has also left Ewie Duncan, the winner of eight races before being sold to the United States.
• Final Secret followed the footsteps of her dam, Illustrious Tricks, when she won a maiden trot for Oamaru owner-trainer-driver Colin McKay yesterday.
Illustrious Tricks had the fourth of her four wins for McKay at Oamaru in May 2002.
Final Secret is her first foal after she failed to conceive in her first three years at stud.
• Brothers John and Maurice McDermott won races with Wendell and Flyover yesterday.
John trains both horses at Prebbleton.
• Bryan Atkins, who had his previous training win with Alebye at Addington in July 2004, won a race yesterday with Caesarion, owned by his wife, Rosalie.
Training a horse is a retirement hobby for Atkins.
"We bred Caesarion from a mare [Misdealt] who was given to me by an uncle, Les Walsh," Atkins said.
• Horseman Phil Williamson sustained severe bruising to his chest after being kicked by a horse yesterday.
He was discharged from Oamaru Hospital last night after being admitted for observation.
He was kicked at the start of race 6 when in the sulky of Avalon Sunset, who lashed out.
Avalon Sunset was scratched.
• Indrah, a last-start winner of the Roxburgh Cup, will have her next race in the Marlborough Cup on Sunday.
"It is a change of plans. We decided against going to Invercargill for the Southern Belle series," Craig Thornley, her driver, said.
