Foremost, a last-start winner on the flat at the Grand National meeting at Riccarton, is in a novice hurdle at Trentham on Sunday.

Foremost won a maiden hurdle at Trentham in July. The Mark Oulaghan-trained Rossini gelding has raced twice over hurdles. Matthew Cropp has the mount.

Daniel Stackhouse, who rode Foremost in July, is committed to Biscuit Green, a 15-length winner of a maiden hurdle at Washdyke at his last start.

Biscuit Green, The Matrix and Vinopolis are representing the Ashburton stable of Pam Gerard at the National jumps day.

Joanne Rathbone has been engaged to ride Vinopolis, who finished second to Ballaphun at his last start at Washdyke.

Stackhouse has retained the mount on the Oulaghan-trained South Road, whom he rode to win a last-start win over hurdles at Foxton.

Ice Pack is making the trip from Winton for a maiden steeplechase.

The Greg Wright-trained Ice Pack has been placed in his last four starts over country, including a second to Inevitable at Riccarton.

Oulaghan has Wotabuzz in a rating 80 2400m race at Ellerslie on Saturday.

It is the final leg of a Pick6 guaranteed to $1 million.

Wotabuzz has won his last three starts, all over 2100m.

Michelle Wenn, who rode him last time at Ellerslie, has retained the mount.

The His Royal Highness gelding is stepping up to 2400m.

• Gary Trusttum, the Washdyke trainer, has had a hip replacement.

He fractured his hip in a fall from a horse on September 9.

"His riding days are over," Pam Trusttum, his wife, said.

• Damien Oliver did not ride at the Sandown meeting yesterday in the wake of being questioned by police over a criminal matter, AAP reports.

Racing Victoria gave no reason for his absence.

Oliver met detectives in Geelong on Monday but he has not been charged with any offence.

Superintendent Peter O'Neill told News Ltd Oliver had spoken with police and investigations were continuing.
