
Wakatipu led the charge, picking up four medals, and Otago Boys’, John McGlashan and Columba all had podium finishes at Laka Karapiro too.
Wakatipu’s Xavier Small and Ashton White won gold in the boys under-17 double sculls, finishing ahead of the pack in 7min 03.88sec.
John McGlashan’s Angus Loe and Matthew O’Meara followed for an Otago top-two finish, picking up silver with their time of 7min 06.54sec.
Small and White continued their success by also winning bronze, alongside Toby Rorrison and Marley King-Smith and Emily Howick, in the boys under-18 coxed quad sculls.
The Queenstown school also stamped its mark in the boys under-15 and girls under-18 double sculls.
Charlie Manser and McKellar Thornton won silver with 7min 13.92sec, and Neve Bates and Olivia Bronze won bronze, finishing in 7min 41.03sec.
Dunstan’s Tahlia Nelson won silver in the girl’s under-16 single sculls with her time of 8min 24.58sec and Otago Boys’ Levi Heffernan, Roland Ozanne, Jack Scott, Harrison Thode and Dylan Young also took silver in the boys under-16 coxed quad sculls, finishing in 6min 44.18sec.
Columba scored bronze in the girls under-15 coxed octuple sculls. Matilda Sutton, Anika Leyser, Georgia Drummond, Taylor Skevington, Isla Nicholson, Delilah Brown, Alice Porter, Hannah Bloxham, and Isabella Davey finished in 7min 31.02sec, behind Cashmere (gold) and Waikato Diocesan (silver).
