Dunedin Netball has recorded a profit for a second consecutive year.
The organisation announced an $8534 surplus at its recent annual meeting.
It noted the surplus came after "very careful financial management" during the year.
That built on the $35,000 surplus made in 2020, an outcome heavily affected by Covid-19.
A loss was expected for 2022, as fees would remain the same as they have since 2016.
Member reserves would be used to subsidise the increasing costs of running the sport, rather than asking for members to pay increased fees during the ongoing uncertain times.
Fees were expected to rise in 2023.
Playing numbers remained stable with a notable 10-team increase in secondary school grades, following four years of trending downwards.
There was also a seven-team decrease in intermediate schools.
An increase in men"s teams also enabled a standalone men"s competition to be run for the first time.
