
The incorporated society recorded a net surplus of $19,423 for the financial year ending October 31, 2010.
Two years ago, the provincial body recorded a $113,185 loss but bounced back the following year to return its books to the black with a surplus of $54,147 and now has a small nest egg of $50,447.
But while its financial situation has improved, funding the game continues to present significant challenges.
In the annual report Paterson said the sport faced many hurdles "with the sustainability of funding being one area that requires attention".
"The netball landscape has changed significantly in the last 10 years," she wrote.
"During 2011, Netball New Zealand, in consultation with a working group, will critically look at an alternative structure so that we can deliver the game from grass roots to the Silver Ferns and still be financially sustainable."
