Dunedin opened their national open championships campaign with a 45-38 win over Manawatu Green in Auckland yesterday.
After starting slowly and trailing 12-10 at the end of the first quarter, Dunedin nudged ahead 22-19 at halftime and 32-31 after three quarters, before dominating the final 15 minutes.
Dunedin’s second pool game is against Hawke’s Bay today.
