John McGlashan College are into the quarterfinals of the elite Rankin Cup secondary schoolboys tournament in Tauranga.
McGlashan beat Wairarapa College 3-1 in the round-of-16 game yesterday. Wairarapa scored first but Angus Loe, Adam McNab and Max Nation fired in goals for McGlashan. The Dunedin school will play Westlake Boys’ today.
Otago Boys’ suffered a 4-2 loss to Rongotai in the India Shield. Will Nichol and Fergus Oberlin-Brown scored for Otago Boys’.
Both St Hilda’s and Columba both lost at the Marie Fry Trophy tournament in Hamilton.
