Ricki Herbert has been reappointed as national coach of the New Zealand soccer team for the next two years.

Herbert and New Zealand Football chairman Frank Van Hattum signed the contract at a press conference in Wellington today.

The term of the contract means Herbert stays at the helm of the All Whites through to the 2013 Confederations Cup qualifying campaign.

Herbert was first appointed New Zealand coach in 2005 and took the team through to this year's World Cup in South Africa, where the All Whites drew their three group matches against Slovakia, Italy and Paraguay.
