Worker calls stumps

Auckland and former Black Caps batter George Worker has retired from professional cricket.

The 34-year-old left-hander scored 272 runs in 10 ODIs for his country and he also played two T20s for the Black Caps.

At domestic level, he made his name in list A cricket, scoring 6721 runs at a healthy average of 43.64.

He also bagged 160 wickets across all three formats with his left-arm spin.
