White Ferns fall well short

England beat the White Ferns by 23 runs on the DLS method after a rain-shortened second T20 in Hove yesterday.

After rain delayed the start by two hours, England had nine overs to bat, and rattled up 89 for six thanks to Alice Capsey (28) and Maia Bouchier (23). Both Lea Tahuhu and Melie Kerr took two wickets for the tourists.

The White Ferns crumbled to 42 for five in 6.4 overs when the rain returned. English bowler Charlie Dean took two wickets for three runs in her sole over.
