Volts make final after thriller

Otago has made the final of the one-day competition after it beat Canterbury in Christchurch today.

Otago batted first and made 294 for nine off 50 overs.

 

Canterbury looked on pace to pass it but lost wickets late on and ended six  runs short.

Otago took three wickets in the final five balls to seal victory.

It plays Auckland in the final in Auckland on Sunday.
