
The 26-year-old left-hander was named premier club player of the year and batter of the year.
The fringe Otago player was comfortably the leading scorer in the competition. He plundered 689 at an average of 45.93.
The next leading scorer in the competition, Yuvrag Khara, managed 445 at 27.81.
Clinton also bowls offspin and was in the top 10 wicket-takers. He claimed 23 wickets at a wonderful average of 9.35.
That was not enough for him to secure the bowling award as well. That honour went to North East Valley and Otago seamer Travis Muller.
Muller was the leading wicket-taker in the competition with 28 scalps at 8.32, including eight for 29 against University-Grange.
Taieri collected most of the titles.
They won the Bing Harris Shield as the overall champion.
They also won the two-day and one-day competition but were upset in the T20 final by North East Valley.
That was Taieri’s only loss all season.
Rowan Wilson was named female cricketer of the year for her outstanding leadership and crucial bowling spells for University-Grange.
Sparks opener Saffron Wilson was named club batter of the year.
She posted 179 runs at an average of 45.
The bowling award went to Gemma Burleigh, who took 17 wickets including a best of four for nine.
Praveen Batchu was named umpire of the year, and James Ussher received the contribution to Dunedin Cricket award for his advocacy for female cricket and for his role in helping establish the University-Grange women’s club.
Green Island stalwart Jeremy Scott won the Gordon McGregor Trophy for services to cricket.
He has been the club secretary for more than 20 years and has put in countless hours.
Scott has been a selector and mentor for young players and has also served on the DCA committee and various subcommittees.
