Taieri consolidated its lead at the top of the one-day standings with a six-wicket win against Green Island at Sunnyvale on Saturday.
Green Island is in a rebuilding phase following a raft of retirements in recent years.
It limped through to 164 all out. Openers Joel Meade (23) and Brad Kneebone (38) put on 42 for the first wicket.
Tom Myles (three for 46) accounted for Meade and Josh Kellett (3) and the dangerous Christi Viljoen (0) were not able to get going.
Classy all-rounder Geordie Scott counter-attacked with 56 from 48 and also nabbed two for nine with the ball.
The chase went reasonably smoothly for Taieri following an early hiccup.
Viljoen removed the in-form Cameron Jackson for one and Harsh Visavadiya for the same score
But Callum Egen cracked 68 from 79 and New Zealand under-19 player Beckham Wheeler-Greenall struck a composed 60 not out from 75 balls.
Albion 186 beat University-Grange 50
Albion left-armer Tommy Clout ran through University-Grange to help his side seal a 136-run win at Tonga Park.
The fringe Otago seamer took five for 24 from 10 as University-Grange collapsed to be all out for a woeful total of 50.
Volts right-armer Matt Bacon nabbed two for 15 in a useful effort as well.
Only two Grange players reached double figures in what was another forgettable day for the premier battlers.
The first half of the match went relatively well. Jacob Murray took three for 27, while Jacob Cumming and Usman Shah picked up two wickets apiece.
Tim Ford top-scored with 36 and Jack Coman made 35. But Albion was dismissed for 186.
Grange was in the game but has struggled with the bat this season and flopped once again.
North East Valley 224 for nine beat Kaikorai 147
North East Valley recorded a comfortable 77-run win against Kaikorai at Bishopscourt.
It was a solid team effort. Tom Griffin’s knock of 66 proved crucial, and Travis Muller added a valuable 31.
But just about everyone found a way to chip in with a dozen or so runs and that was enough for Valley to post a competitive 224 for nine.
Jordan Gain was outstanding for Kaikorai. He ripped through the middle order with four for 33.
He missed out with the bat, though. The opener was bowled for a golden duck by Bailey Andrews-Kennedy.
Andrews-Kennedy (two for 17) also got rid of Volts keeper Mitch Renwick (2) before he could get established.
Jack Henderson (20) and Taine Bayly (28) staged a minor recovery and Jeremy Smith top-scored with 40.
But Hunter Kindley ran through the tail with three for 25 to help dismiss Kaikorai for 147.
