New Zealand suffered a shock loss to Nigeria in the ICC Under-19 Women’s World Cup in Sarawak on Monday night.
It was a World Cup debut for the Africans, who scored 65 for six from their rain-shortened allocation of 13 overs.
The young New Zealanders made a terrible start when opener Kate Irwin was run out off the first ball, and they fell short of the target by two runs.
