Carisbrook-Dunedin 156 beat Taieri 130 by 26 runs
Despite posting a disappointing total, Carisbrook-Dunedin was able to rely on its bowlers to give it a 26 run win over Taieri.
After finding themselves in a good position at 126 for three, Carisbrook-Dunedin's middle and lower order were unable to maintain the momentum and the last seven wickets fell for just 30 runs.
Ash Simpson and Ryan Senior proving vital to Taieri's bowling attack, picking up four wickets each.
Taieri's innings followed almost the same path as Dunedin-Carisbrook's.
With a good platform of 93 for five and needing another 60 to win, the lower and middle order also failed, falling 26 runs short.
North East Valley 203 beat Green Island 64 by 139 runs
Chasing 204 for victory, Green Island never got out of first gear. No-one made more than 15 runs and only three passed 10.
A great spell of bowling from Valley captain Jamie Murley with four for 14 off 10, combined with three wickets each from Sam Blakely and Florian Schmidt consigned Green Island to a heavy defeat.
Green Island would have been reasonably happy with its effort in the field, having Valley 161 for 9, before Schmidt (27) was able to take his team past the 200 mark.
