A century from University-Grange batsman Jesse Simpson helped his side rise to the top of the Dunedin club competition's one-day standings on Saturday.
Grange scored 298 for seven and dismissed Albion for 152.
Anthony Bullick took three for 34 and Otago fast bowler James McMillan took two for 34.
The win lifted Grange to 20 competition points.
Albion is in second place with 17 points and Carisbrook-Dunedin's four-wicket win over Taieri has enabled it to claim third place with 16 points.
Green Island is still in the hunt on 15 points after thrashing North East Valley (11 points) by 137 runs, thanks to a brilliant all-round effort by Mark Joyce.
Joyce scored an undefeated ton and took three for 28 from eight overs.
Otago strike bowler Neil Wagner also smashed an undefeated century to help Pelichet Bay beat Kaikorai by eight wickets.
University-Grange 298/7 beat Albion 152 at Culling Park
Some impressive batting by Jesse Simpson helped University-Grange dispatch Albion by 152 runs.
Cashing in on some solid work done by Mark Collie (40) and Michael Bracewell (29) at the top of the order, Simpson played superbly, whacking a century off 104 deliveries before offering Nathan King a catch off the bowling of Nick Cape.
Anthony Bullick chipped in with a hard-hit 42 to help guide Grange to 298 for seven.
Nick Beard was the best of the Albion bowlers with two from 43 from 10 overs.
Albion's reply got off to a disastrous beginning, with both Jamie Glenn and Shaun Haig going early.
Sam Ward (21), King (22), Beard (32) and Ollie Newton (24) all got starts but could not go on with it as Albion crashed to 152 all out.
Taieri 149 lost to Carisbrook-Dunedin 151/6 at Memorial Park
Carisbrook-Dunedin overhauled Taieri's modest total of 149 with four wickets and 29 overs to spare.
Taieri made a positive start getting through to 60 without loss.
Jarrad Waldron made 47 and Anthony Harris 19, but four quick wickets sent the innings into freefall.
Ben Kidston put up some fight in the middle with 32.
Rhys Phillips took three for 20 from eight overs and Brad Hamill three for nine from seven overs.
Greg Todd top-scored with 34 and skipper Sean Eathorne scored 25 not out to help steer his side to victory.
Kaikorai 223 lost to Pelichet Bay 224/2 at Bayfield 1
Neil Wagner and Brenton Thompson combined in an unbroken 180-run stand for the third wicket to help Pelichet Bay beat Kaikorai by eight wickets.
Wagner, better known for his feats at the bowling crease for Otago, took the long handle to the Kaikorai attack, flaying 101.
Thompson was also brutal on the bowling, thumping 66 as Pelichet Bay reached its target with more than 12 overs remaining.
Earlier, Matt Hunter scored 56 and Scott Hawkins 42 to help Kaikorai reach 223.
William Sherman took three for 37 from 10 overs.
Green Island 272/4 beat North East Valley 135 at Sunnyvale
Mark Joyce stole the limelight with an unbeaten century and a useful bowling spell to help Green Island annihilate North East Valley by 137 runs.
Joyce combined in a 169-run stand for the third wicket with Jordan Sheed (78) to take Green Island from 61 for two to 230 for three.
Joyce went on to score 103 with Jamie Munro chipping in 20 to help his side reach 272 for four.
Joyce then turned destroyer with the ball, taking three for 28 from eight overs.
North East Valley's reply never threatened but Otago wicketkeeper Derek de Boorder continued his good form with the bat adding 35.
Gary Paine scored 43.
