Jack Harper led a dominant batting performance by Albion as the Culling Park side maintained its spot in joint first on the Declaration Cup table at Tonga Park ahead of a showdown against Green Island next week.
Albion 364 for eight dec beat Caris-Dunedin 72 by 292 runs
Harper's 101 off 176 balls was the backbone of an Albion innings which had early wobbles when Felix Page and Matt McCall were dismissed with the score on 11.
However, a 111-run partnership between Harper and Dan Duke (70 off 63 balls) got Albion back on track before Duke's departure brought Mark Somerville to the crease.
Somerville (82) and Harper combined for a fourth wicket partnership of 123 and Nick Beard (30), Tim Ford (36) and Taylor Cumberland (17 not out) chimed in before the declaration came in the 78th over.
Albion was quickly on top, thanks to top spells from Josh Cuttance (three for 40) and Nick Beard (five for 25). Carisbrook Dunedin lost wickets at regular intervals to be all out for 72 in the 25th over.
Taieri 111 beat Otago Boys' 66 by 45 runs
A low-scoring affair went the way of the home side at Brooklands No 1.
Taieri batted first and began to build a base towards a tidy score through Jack Driscoll (20) and Kieran Lloyd (22). But their dismissals on 41 and 48 saw the home side battle through the rest of the innings with only Jack Hunter (20) and Michael MacKenzie (15) reaching double figures.
The Otago Boys' attack shared the wickets around, with Declan Sua (three for 23) and Jamie MacDonald (two for 23) taking multiple scalps, but the school side was quickly in trouble with the bat, slumping to 18 for five. Sua (12) and MacDonald (12) tried their best to edge closer to the total, but without reward.
Kaikorai 89 lost to Green Island 90 for two by eight wickets
A bowling masterclass from two wily campaigners allowed Green Island to take the spoils when the co-leader travelled to Bishopscourt on Saturday.
Kaikorai was unable to get any momentum due to impressive spells from long-time Green Island contributors Dion Lobb (four for 40) and Bradley Scott (four for eight), with Scott's return coming from 13 overs.
Shammika Rodrigo (18) tried to get Kaikorai's innings off to the right start, but he went with the score at 35, while Matt Hunter's 34 came to an end with Kaikorai on 77.
Green Island reached the total with relative ease in the 16th over, courtesy of 45 from Ant Harris and an unbeaten 29 from Scott Simpson.
North East Valley 234 beat University-Grange 82 by 152 runs
Adam Miles and Keegan Harrison were the stars for North East Valley at Logan Park as the Gardens side took control over University-Grange.
Miles' well-compiled 86 provided a solid platform for North East Valley after two early wickets.
His departure with the score on 154 was not the end of North East Valley's damage with the willow, as Damian Scott added an unbeaten 39 from 59 balls from No 8 to help Valley to a good total.
Harrison then took over the dominant role as he scythed through University-Grange's top and middle order, taking five for 35 to leave University-Grange in trouble at 30 for six in the 10th over.
Tim O'Connor offered the most resistance at No 9, whacking 30 off 29 balls.
