The 34-year-old right-hander was named Otago cricketer of the year for a second consecutive season after another sublime season with the bat.
Cumming scored an impressive 924 runs in the Plunket Shield at a healthy average of 61.60.
This summer he plundered another four 100s to equal the great Bert Sutcliffe's record of 17 centuries for Otago.
He also averaged more than 35 in the one-day competition and maintained a strike rate of 141 in the twenty/20 tournament, as well as leading the team with distinction.
Neil Broom pipped Cumming for the batsman of the year award.
He scored 608 runs in first-class cricket at an average of 67.55, including three 100s, all of which were posted before Christmas.
Broom was just as prolific in the one-day tournament, scoring 320 runs at 80, including a high score of 164.
South African-born strike bowler Neil Wagner claimed the bowling award for a second successive season with 52 wickets across all three forms of the game, and wicketkeeper Derek de Boorder picked up the fielder of the year award.
De Boorder set a New Zealand record and equalled the world record for the most number of catches in an innings when he snared eight against Wellington in the last game of the summer.
Classy all-rounder Sarah Tsukigawa's economical bowling and proficiency with the bat earned her the title of Sparks player of the year.
She took six wickets and averaged over 50 in the women's one-day tournament, and was the leading wicket-taker in the twenty/20 competition with 11 scalps.
Katey Martin won the batsman of the year award with 379 runs at 37.9 in the one-day competition, and Emma Campbell claimed the bowling prize with 15 wickets at 17.9 and an impressive economy rate of 3.28.
Victoria Abbott was the fielder of the year.
Volts all-rounder Sam Wells made giant improvements this season but had to share the rising star award with promising left-arm spinner Nick Beard.
Batsman Lucy Foote was the Sparks most improved player.
Mark Bracewell was the coach of the year and de Boorder picked up the award for the most outstanding performance for his eight catches in an innings.
Otago Cricket Association life member Warren Shirley was honoured with a special award for his contribution to cricket.
Shirley has been a board member and is a past president and selector.
He is still heavily involved in compiling statistics and keeping records up to date.
