Otago all-rounder Suzie Bates is the only player from the province to be included in 14-strong White Ferns squad which will contest the ICC World Twenty/20 in the West Indies starting in May.
The core of the squad which performed so well, winning five twenty/20 games against Australia in the recent Rose Bowl series, has been retained, with the final selections made following the North-South series in Lincoln last weekend.
Classy all-rounder Lucy Doolan returns after successful rehabilitation from knee surgery, and Wellington middle-order batsman Liz Perry has forced her way into the squad after showing good form in the North-South series.
She is the only player without any international experience.
Rachel Priest is the only specialist wicketkeeper in the squad, with Maria Fahey and Lucy Doolan providing cover if necessary.
"We have an exciting blend of youth and experience in this squad with plenty of versatility to cover the different options that are required in the variable West Indian conditions," White Ferns coach Gary Stead said.
"There are a number of power hitters in the team and that could be a key on the small Warner Park ground," he added.
The White Ferns are in group B with India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Their first match is against India on the May 6.
