CDK capped off a successful season with an eight-run win against Albion at Tonga Park on Saturday.

Carisbrook-Dunedin/Kaikorai already had the Bing Harris Shield secured, so got to celebrate in style.

Opener Xavier Chisholm will be a little dirty, though. He got out four runs short of a century.

He smacked four sixes and 12 fours in an almost-100 on the last day of the season.

Vinay Chandrappa (47) and Charles Hendry (48) made chunky contributions as well to the total of 297.

Ben Blackman nabbed five for 62 for Albion and Josh Tasman-Jones stroked 122 from 113 balls at the top of the Eagles order.

Volts all-rounder Angus McKenzie added 65 and Ricki Allan made 37.

But Albion came up just short. It was bowled out for 289.

Kurt Johnson was the chief destroyer with six for 63.

Green Island pumped University-Grange by nine wickets at Logan Park.

Former Volts left-armer Blair Soper took four for 23 to help restrict University-Grange to a modest tally of 126 for nine.

Brad Kneebone anchored the chase with 63 not out.

In the other match, North East Valley posted 154 and held on to beat Taieri by 20 runs at Brooklands Park.

Taieri medium pacer Regan Flaws took six for 42 in a game dominated by the bowlers.

Llew Johnson (30) and Hunter Kindley (36) put on 56 at the top of the North East Valley order and that proved crucial in a low-scoring game.

Kaleb McKay and Oliver White took three wickets apiece to help seal the win for the Valley.
