Boxing: SBW opponent confirmed

Clarence Tillman has been confirmed as Sonny Bill Williams' opponent for the New Zealand Heavyweight title in Hamilton on February 8.

American Tillman, who is an Auckland resident, is a replacement for Richard Tutaki who is facing drugs charges.

Tillman, 34, has previously beaten Tutaki. He has an overall record of 11 wins, eight losses and two draws.

Williams' manager Khoder Nasser said: "It is great that the Tillman camp have agreed to take the fight. It is definitely going to be a great spectacle and a big night for Sonny Bill.''

Williams said: "The fight is going to be a huge challenge. Tillman is a quality fighter, so I will have to put in the extra yards over the next three and a-half weeks and change my fight plan accordingly.''
