Wellington Saints have been thrown a lifeline to compete in the 2011 National Basketball League after renewing a naming rights sponsorship deal.
With the deadline looming for a decision on the future of the defending champion club, sponsors Exodus Health and Fitness Club announced they will renew their agreement.
Saints chairman Justin Toebes said the development meant the club - which had been considering pulling out of the league - could field a team next year and once again be coached by former Tall Blacks captain Pero Cameron.
