Jake Paul was the star on the track at the Caledonian on Saturday afternoon.
The 18-year-old sprinter delivered a series of impressive displays to claim wins in the 60m, 100m and 200m.
Paul ran 11.03sec to blitz the field in the 100m, with his nearest rival, Josiah Lesa, finishing in 11.49.
The time saw him move into the top 20 on the national open rankings for 2016 and fifth on the U20 rankings.
He was similarly dominant in the 200m, running 22.53, beating second-placed Felix McDonald who ran 23.15.
Not long afterwards, he capped his day off by running 7.22 in the 60m.
A student at the University of Otago, Paul went to school in Wellington and was competing as a one-day registration.
Christina Ashton was the best of the women’s sprinters, winning the 100m in 12.63 and the 200m in 26.16.
In the field, national javelin record holder Tori Peeters, of Taieri, made her return to the Caledonian after a long layoff with injury.
She threw 49.78m to win the event from Laura Overton, who threw 43.24m.
Hill City-University’s Cameron Miller had a good showing in the jumps.
The 16-year-old cleared 1.85m to win the high jump, moving to third-equal in the national under-18 rankings in the process.
He also jumped 6.18m to win the long jump from Invercargill’s Jackson Stewart, who managed 6m.
Hugh McLeod-Jones (18) was the best of the throwers, claiming wins in the heaviest weights in the discus and shot put, throwing 41.42m and 13.09m respectively.
Fourteen-year-old shot putter Zharna Beattie won the women’s 3kg event with a throw of 10.16m.
Todd Bates won the men’s hammer throw with a best distance of 51.90m.
