People with disabilities, or who might not be able to walk through the gardens, had the opportunity to see them from their vehicles instead, she said.
The drive-through tour was the third such event they had held and was "successful," Mrs Aitken said.
She said there was great feedback from the event each time it had been held and looked forward to the next one.
"We’re planning for this to be twice a year, once in mid-February and once in mid-October."
