Invercargill City Council has made the bounty of "incr-edibles" vegetables free for the community to harvest.
The spray-free gardens are based near the Japanese garden and in-between the Winter Gardens in Queens Park.
The council has made the gardening kaupapa possible with the assistance of the Healthy Families Invercargill Murihiku Kai Collective.
The public are encouraged to take only what they need and to leave "some kai for everyone to enjoy".
Otakaro Park, just off Yarrow St, also has a community garden ready to be harvested.
