A Southland road reopened last night after work to clear a slip.
The slip was discovered on the Manapōuri side of Blackmount Hill, forcing the Clifden-Blackmount/ Blackmount-Redcliff road to close on Tuesday night.
A spokesperson for the Southland District Council said both lanes of the road were open from 7pm yesterday, but speed restrictions would apply.
