One of the highlights for the children at the holiday programme was when the fire engine from the Frankton station visited the Queenstown Events Centre. The children got a chance to crawl on board, and some of them had a try at handling the fire hose....

During the past two weeks, a daily roll of 40 to 50 children have had fun at the Lakes Leisure holiday programme.

For children aged 5 to 12, the programme was based at the Queenstown Events Centre and involved daily activities such as arts, crafts and games, and excursions such as movie days and a cruise on Lake Wakatipu.
