Puzzling tourist trap

The brightly-coloured rowan trees on State Highway 84 opposite Puzzling World are attracting a lot of tourist traffic.

These tourists crossed the road without incident yesterday, but Wanaka Senior Constable Ian Henderson said two tourists crossing the road outside Puzzling World, and "oblivious to the oncoming traffic", recently caused a motorist to brake heavily.

"The following vehicle rear-ended the poor driver". Snr Const Henderson also reminded drivers to remember the two-second rule when following another vehicle.
