One person has been seriously injured in a crash on State Highway 6 in Mount Aspiring National Park.
A police spokeswoman said officers were called to the scene of a two-car crash in the Haast Pass-Makarora Rd, near the Pleasant Flat campsite, about 5.30pm today.
Two helicopters went to the crash with emergency services.
One person was seriously injured, she said.
A tow truck had been called for from Haast.
No further information was available.
