The May 6-7 event will be at the Lake Wānaka Centre, with at least 150 participants already enrolled from all over New Zealand.
Yami stands for Youth and Adults in the Music Industry and the summit is organised by Lake Wānaka SouNZ Inc, which has been organising music events and raising money for music education in the Wānaka area for more than two decades.
The summit has become an annual hub of musical creativity, connection and inspiration for musicians of all ages and stages of their career.
Summit director Lynne Christie said last week the summit crew felt "extremely grateful to be able to secure some of New Zealand’s top music professionals".
Event manager Celine Van der Eecken said one main aim was to prepare participants for careers within the industry.
The workshops are for registered attendees but the public can attend two evening concerts by the tutors and registrants.
Moa is a familiar face at Yami but Tonnon and Finn Andrews (The Veils) will be attending for the first time.
Taite Music Prize winner Tonnon said he was "super excited to be involved, and really looking forward to seeing Yami for the first time".
Andrews said he was keen to perform for the first time with a choir, which would be led by Lisa Tomlins.
"I’m hoping this will provide the launchpad for my own Agnostic Gospel genre which ... is long overdue," Andrews said.
Ladi6, Jon Toogood, Moana Maniapoto, Troy Kingi, Tali, Tiki Taane, Trinity Roots and Dave Dobbyn are also on the list of tutors and performers.
Yami has received grants from Central Lakes Trust, Lion Foundation, Apra/Amcos, NZ On Air, NZ Music Commission and Recorded Music NZ.
More than 70% of places have been taken.
Some summit places are still available.
