A resident, who did not want to be named, suggested last week a meeting was being planned to discuss concerns about the hotel.
However, this week she said she was no longer involved in organising a meeting — uncertain about what it might achieve.
Residents of Northlake are unable to take part in the Queenstown Lakes District Council’s planning process regarding the hotel because of clauses in their sale and purchase agreements.
When asked for comment, councillor and Wanaka Community Board chairman Quentin Smith suggested residents unhappy with the arrangement should, in the first instance, seek legal advice.
